The other day at work I was having a hard time.
I kinda felt rejected and hopeless.
And as I was sweeping and wiping tables, a couple was near me. The man looked up and saw me.
“Hello. How are you?” He said.
Me, being raised with manners, smiled. “I’m good. How are you?”
They replied and I continued to wipe down tables. We began communicating again, and some how, Christmas came up.
“Merry Christmas. If the Lord is willing, Merry Christmas.” The man spoke.
“As long as you’ve got your family, that’s what matters. And don’t forget the reason for he season.” He finished.
I had paused then. “The Savior.” I replied. A smile graced my face.
Right then and there, I realized Christ in Christmas.
He came to save us all. Born in a manger, to a virgin. He came. And because of that, I’m here. You’re here. We are all here.
Jesus changed the game. He fulfilled the prophesies of old and created a whole new law. Because of him we live.
I’m forever grateful. I was humbled that day. And I’m humbled today also.
For I’m not worthy, but he intercedes and loves me anyway.
I hope y’all have a blessed and wonderful Christmas.
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” —Isaiah 9:6 NIV
